Change Careers to Work in Sports - What it Takes to Work in College Basketball

Do you love the game of basketball? Are you currently stuck at a dead end job and have no interest in? Do you want a job that you know means something? If so you need to look into switching your job to work with the National Collegiate Athletic Association for Men's Basketball. The NCAA is looking for someone to work on the national level for college basketball. The NCAA men's basketball rules committee is requesting applications from interested individuals to serve as the secretary-rules editor.

Responsibilities for this job include, recording rule changes adopted by the committee and update the rules manuscript. Responsibilities also include publishing, proofreading and develop surveys that would be Home owner secured loan to birth control patch officials and conference commissioners. For anyone who has experience as an interpreter in their previous job this career would also be perfect for you. As part of the responsibilities for the secretary-rules editor you have to be an official interpreter of the rules between meetings of the committee in conjunction with national coordinator of officials and reporting interpretations to the committee. The other responsibility that many people can compare to their other jobs is the fact that you may have to travel. For example as the secretary-rules editor you have to attend meetings with the national coordinator of officials and also meetings at the men's final four and national association of basketball coaches convention.

In order to change your career to an NCAA job you will need a few requirements. The first and most important is a bachelor's degree. However that should not be hard for most people with a previous job. Another requirement is that you have excellent written and communication skills. This is a requirement because you will need to communicate with a lot of coaches and officials. The NCAA also requires applicants to be able to use electronic mail, have strong administrative skills and organizational skills. Besides those requirements the NCAA would also like applicants with experience in officiating or coaching at the collegiate level.
