Innovation is a Strategic Choice - Choose to Win!

Most companies Spider-Man model very little innovating, perhaps because they subscribe to the thought Watchmen comic if something is working; do not mess with it. This is the same mentality used by the status quo to quell new ideas and the same reason that Detroit has been caught short pre paid legal service the auto industry twice; in the 1970s and in again 2000s. The reality is that this should never have happened once, much less twice.

Those who avoid change will be sorry in the end, change is not to be avoided, but buy toys welcomed, as there is a huge advantage to change. There is after all, opportunity in chaos. You must understand that innovation is a choice, a strategic choice. Yes, it takes effort, time and consideration to stay on the leading edge and to fund R and D projects, but it is well worth it.

In fact, to take advantage of this opportunity in innovation you must choose to go the distance; choose to win! So, you ask what can you personally do to hyper-drive innovation in your life; and what can you do at your company to stay up with the innovation elite.

First: you must realize that seeking out the unknown and considering innovative exploits is more of a mindset than a how too issue.

Second: if you wish to change your mindset to one of innovation, then you have to make it a habit.

Third: if you want to think innovation all the time, you must be around innovative minds, folks that see no boundaries to thought and are not caught up in any "hard breaks" or Star Trek movie that they consider unthinkable.
